Thrust bearings are one of particular separable ball bearings, they are composed of shaft washer,housing washer and steel balls with cage. And shaft washer is designed to fix the shaft, and housing washer is designed to fix the parts outside the shaft. Compared with deep groove ball bearings, thrust bearings can not support radial load or high speed, it can only support axial load and mediunm speed in application.
According to the force direction,thrust bearings are divided into unidirectional thrust bearings (one-way thrust bearing) and bidirectional thrust bearing(two-way thrust ball bearing). Unidirectional thrust l bearing can only support unidirectional axial load. And bidirectional thrust bearing can support bidirectional axial load.
